Auburn Hills, April 5, 2019 – BorgWarner’s facility in Eumsung, South Korea, has been honored with the HYUNDAI TRANSYS customer award 2019. The still young subsidiary of the Hyundai Motor Company, which produces core vehicle parts including transmissions, axles and seats, presented an award to a total of eight of its suppliers. The award certifies and recognizes the efforts of BorgWarner as a reliable partner. During a ceremony held in Rollinghills Hotel on April 5, 2019, Yeo Sudong, CEO of HYUNDAI TRANSYS, handed the prize over to IB Kim, General Manager, BorgWarner.

In addition, the award demonstrates our excellent customer service with regard to on-site support for all quality and engineering issues”, said KilSang Kang, Senior Sales Manager BorgWarner Eumsung.
BorgWarner’s facility in Eumsung has been supplying two major South Korean automobile manufacturers with the localized production of transmission components since 1990 and has already received various supplier awards in the course of these cooperation schemes. Since 2001, the company has also been supplying HYUNDAI TRANSYS with its advanced technologies such as clutch modules.
