BorgWarner Debuts New Exchange Program at ReMaTec 2015 in Amsterdam

BorgWarner’s Exchange Program is an Environmentally Friendly and Cost-efficient Alternative to New Series Turbochargers

Auburn Hills, Michigan, May 12, 2015 – BorgWarner presents its Exchange program in hall 10 booth 420 at the International Trade Fair for Remanufacturing (ReMaTec) 2015 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from June 14 – 16. Engineered to provide a solution for customers looking for cost-effective maintenance, BorgWarner’s remanufactured turbochargers are available for a broad range of passenger cars, trucks, buses, construction equipment and agricultural applications. The turbochargers have been calibrated and balanced to OE specifications to ensure smooth, trouble-free operation with the engine. In addition to turbochargers, BorgWarner’s Exchange program includes spare part cores, spare parts and e-actuators as well as vacuum actuators with or without position sensors. Attracting roughly 3,500 visitors, the ReMaTec is considered the focal point of the worldwide remanufacturing industry.

“We are pleased to debut our new Exchange program at one of the leading trade fairs for remanufacturing,” said Michael Boe, Vice President and General Manager Global Aftermarket, BorgWarner Turbo Systems. “Detailed test schedules ensure high quality of all components in each phase of processing. As a result, our Exchange turbochargers deliver equally high performance and reliability as new series products.”

BorgWarner employs state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to professionally rebuild used or damaged turbochargers by replacing all wearing parts and small parts such as bearings, seals and actuators with original ones from the series production line. The use of high-quality materials and optimum processing techniques is indispensable, as turbochargers are exposed to temperatures of more than 1,000 degrees Celsius as well as rotation speeds of up to 250,000 rpm. Turbochargers from BorgWarner’s Exchange program pass the same strict quality control processes under realistic conditions on advanced test beds and modern balancing units as any other series product. In addition, BorgWarner combines quality with recycling and reduces negative impact on the environment by avoiding industrial waste and unnecessary CO2 emissions. BorgWarner’s comprehensive service and communication network allows remanufactured turbochargers to be supplied almost anywhere in the world within 24 hours.
