Thank you for visiting (the “Site”) which is the website of the BorgWarner group of companies operated and hosted by BorgWarner Inc. ("we", "us") in the U.S.. We are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. 

This Privacy Policy applies to the collection, processing, transfer and use of your personal data and other information which we collect while you are visiting and using the Site and our services. During your visit of the Site, we may collect your personal data in the following ways:

(i) If you decide to contact us using the contact form provided on the Site any personal data you insert in the contact form will be collected. Personal data may include, for example, your name, email address, telephone number and address.

(ii) Any personal data provided by you when you apply online for a position at BorgWarner (via JobSearch) will also be collected. Personal data may include, for example, your name, address, telephone number, email address and resume, subject to your consent. (iii) If you decide to register in one of the specially designated login areas on our Site, e.g., as a potential or current supplier to BorgWarner or a member of the press, any personal data you insert in the registration form/ specially designated login areas will be collected. Personal data may include, for example, your name, job title, telephone number and email address.

(iv) When you visit our Site for pure information purposes, i.e., if you do not register on our Site and do not transfer any other information via our Site, we process personal data which is transferred from your browser to our server. Thereby we may collect and store information about your visit, including the time and length of your visit, the pages you look at and the website you visited just before coming to ours. We may also record the name of your internet service provider. We use this information only to measure activity on our Site and to develop and improve the Site. Due to technical reasons such information is necessary for us to offer you the access to our Site and to ensure its stability and security. This information will, however, not be connected to data provided via the contact forms described above or any other data about you.


          In addition to the aforementioned data collection we place cookies on your computer. Cookies neither cause any damage nor contain any viruses. Cookies are rather small text files, which are transferred to the computer when accessing an internet site and through which we receive certain information. Google Analytics uses cookies, meaning text files that are stored on the user's computer and that allow an analysis of the use of a website. The information generated by the cookie about the use of a website is usually transferred to and stored on Google servers in the United States. 

Google Analytics enables us to continually enhance your experience when using our Site as we receive generated statistics which help us to improve our services and refine them to be more interesting for you. For your protection, we have activated the function on our Site that anonymizes IP addresses. Your IP address is shortened by Google in Member States of the European Economic Area prior to its transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is transmitted to a Google server located in the United States and shortened there. Google will use this information under the terms and conditions of the data processing agreement entered into between Google and us for the purpose of evaluating the use of the Site, compiling reports on Site activity and providing other services relating to Site activity and internet usage. Google will not connect your IP address with any other data held by Google when using Google Analytics.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in the browser software; however, by doing so you may not be able to use the full functionality of our Site. We will either delete the collected data after the storage of such data is no longer necessary or restrict the processing of the data if statutory retention requirements apply.

As outlined under Sec. VI. of this Privacy Policy, countries located outside the EEA may not have data protection laws and regulations comparable to the ones applying in your country. We will adopt appropriate measures to ensure that your personal data will be protected there on the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.
